Latest trends in web hosting

Are you planning to put up your own website? Setting up a website offers a lot of advantages to both individual and business entities. Many business owners will certainly benefit from putting up their company’s own website. This will allow them to present to a wider clientele what their businesses have to offer. With the increasing popularity of online shopping it is undeniable that millions of businesses worldwide are taking the opportunity to advertise and sell their products through the internet using exciting website marketing strategies.

GoDaddy sold for USD 2.25 billion

GoDaddy, the internet domain web site famous for its provocative Super Bowl commercials, has been sold to KKR & Co. and two other firms for $2.25 billion, people familiar said, according to reports. In a released statement, CEO Bob Parsons said the deal with KKR, Silver Lake and Technology Crossover Ventures was a possibility he had been looking forward to.

“I’ve always said we would make a move like this when the right deal with the right partners could help us do the right thing for our customers and our employees,” he said.

He said he was partnering with the firms because “of their technology expertise, their understanding of Web based businesses and because their values align with ours.

“We believe, together, we will take the company to the next level, especially when it comes to accelerating international growth,” Parsons said.

How to transfer your domains away from GoDaddy.com

The heat is still on and people are still outraged by the public display of GoDaddy CEO Bob Parson’s “elephant-killing” skills. Namecheap had even jumped on the bandwagon with some smart marketing by promoting their BYEBYEGD coupon code at $4.99. Originally they have only made their coupon valid for 24 hours, but due to the outpouring of support (I believe outraged animal lovers of the elephant kind are moving their domains away to Namecheap in droves), they extended it to April 4th at 11.59pm EST. There are only a few hours left, so grab it while you still have the time.
